The Future
Among the ITS Contest 2015 jurors are Massimo Giorgetti (Founder & Creative Director MSGM), Carlo Capasa (President of CNMI - Italian Fashion Chamber) and Oriole Cullen (Acting Senior Curator of Contemporary Fashion, Victoria & Albert Museum).Past finalist Aitor Throup receives an award inrecognition for his career. The concept for the edition is “THE FUTURE”, asci-fi concept underlying how the visions of the finalists are glimpses into future possibilities.

The Future
What will the world be like, in half a century from now? And what in 2 centuries? Will we be hanging around on flying cars? Will we be eternally young? Will we share our lives with human-looking robots? The imaginary concept of the future is a theme full of images, myths, hopes and illusions that has always fascinated modern society and has given birth to fiction, movies and scientific research. Now more than ever before, with an exponential progress of technology, we can almost grasp the future, to the point that it blends with the present. Computer graphics, virtual reality and the ever-growing amount of images we experience every day let us perceive realistic images of the upcoming future as if it was already here. At the same time, the democratisation of the creation of information and its diffusion blurs the line between real or fake, between possible or impossible, to the point that sometimes it is not clear what we humans have already accomplished and what we still have not.
