A guide to taking care of your GRAPHI-TEE® garment
First, let’s talk facts.
The fashion industry? Yeah, it’s a bit of a mess. Overproduction and overconsumption have turned it into one of the biggest polluters out there. Clothes are made faster, worn less, and tossed sooner than ever before. But guess what? You have the power to change that. Caring for your clothes means keeping them around longer, reducing waste, and making that overproduction monster a little less scary.
So, how do we do that? Glad you asked.
- Wash with care Washing your clothes is great. Overwashing them? Not so much. Every wash weakens fibers, fades colors, and increases microfiber pollution (not cool). So here’s how to keep things fresh without overdoing it: Less is more – If it’s not actually dirty, maybe just air it out? Your clothes will thank you. Cold & gentle – Hand wash in cold water and avoid aggressive washing-machine cycles to reduce stress on the fabric & mitigate microfiber pollution. No tumble dryers, please – High heat = sad fabric. Lay flat to air dry instead. Sun and wind are free, so why not use them?
- Repair it (because scars tell stories, and so do patched-up clothes). Ripped sleeve? Hole in the back? That’s not a flaw—it’s a memory. Keep your garment’s story alive with these quick fixes: Patch it up – Iron-on patches, visible mending, or an old-school needle and thread—it’s easier than you think. Reinforce those seams – A few stitches can stop a small tear from turning into a tragic goodbye. Ask a pro – If DIY isn’t your thing, local tailors exist for a reason. Support them.
- Swap it (because sometimes, love fades—but that doesn’t mean it’s over). We get it. Maybe your style changed, maybe you’ve moved on. But that doesn’t mean this garment’s story has to end. Instead of trashing it: Give it to a friend – One person’s “meh” is another’s “OMG where did you get that?!” Exchange it –
Clothing swaps are the new shopping sprees (minus the contribution to global overconsumption). Donate it (responsibly) – Make sure it goes somewhere it’s actually needed, not just to landfill in disguise.
Has the garment been worn or damaged beyond repair? Still, don’t trash it - send it to us instead! We know that today handling and recycling this garment at the end of its life may prove difficult, so let us bear the cost of it. E-mail: frank@wradliving.com for more info
Disclaimer: Technically, the t-shirt is not new! It was produced in 2019, in 2020 it became excess stock and since then it has been waiting for the perfect occasion to be relevant again!
